Итоговый урок в 4-м классе проверяет усвоение учащимися лексики по теме "Место, где мы живем"; контролирует усвоение учащимися грамматического материала: предлоги места, конструкции there is, there are, альтернативные вопросы.

1. Организационный момент.
Good morning, children! Glad to see you. Today we shall speak about the place, we live in. We can name the rooms, the things in these rooms.
We learned how to tell about these positions. And now we are going to talk about it with our guests and friends. I think you will be OK.
Для снятия напряжения предлагаю карточки с лицами.
At first I want you to chose one of the cards (OK, Bad, Good, So So) according to your mood and put it on your desk.
2. Контроль навыков усвоения лексики по теме.
а) I want to introduce you our guest. This is a cave man. He never saw a house. Can you explain to him the meaning of the words: a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a hall, a house, a bedroom.
Для слабых учеников предлагаются карточки:
We sit and watch TV in a … .We cook food in a … . We sleep in a ….
We wash face and hands in a … .
b) Yesterday I received a letter from Barbie. Let us read it and listen to me and then answer the questions.
Hello! I am Barbie. I live in a big house. There are three rooms in my house: a living room, and two bedrooms. In the living room there is a sofa, two armchairs, a TV set, a video and a carpet. There isn’t a fire place in my living room. You can see a kitchen and a bathroom in my house. My house is wonderful. I have a small garden in front of it.
I am going to visit your country. Please, prepare a lovely flat or a house for me.

2. What kind of rooms are they?
3. What can you see in her living room?
4. Is there a fireplace in her living room?

So Barbie is going to visit our country. Let us prepare a lovely room for her. Open your copy books and write down the description of the room for Barbie.
Dictation.
This is a living room. There is a table in the middle of the room. There four chairs near the table. In the living room you can see a carpet, two armchairs, a TV set and a standard lamp. You can see a fire place in front of it.
4. Контроль навыков чтения с детальным пониманием прочитанного.
You have letters on your desks. Let us open it and try to find treasure in that house. Read it sentence by sentence one by one.
T: So where is treasure? (P: Treasure is in the box near the fireplace in the bedroom.)
So open the box and find out what treasure is there in the box.
(В коробке рулон бумаги с надписью Your economy is real treasure и три слова: Close (the door, the window, the fridge).
Turn off (the water, the gas).
Switch off (the light, the video) и плакат с изображением дома, в некоторых из квартир которого кипит вода в чайнике, течет вода, включен свет, открыто окно, поет радио, кубик и фишки.
A game: How to be economical in the house. You have a dice and a counter. Throw the dice and move your counter according to the number of the dice. If you are on an empty square. Wait for your next turn. If you are on a picture tell us what to do. If you know how to be economical on the house, have an extra go. If you don’t know, you miss a turn.

6. Домашнее задание.
Подготовить проект по одной из тем “My favorite room in my flat”, “The room of my dream”, “My room”.
