Учащиеся совершенствуют навыки чтения и аудирования. Расширяется лексический запас по теме цикла. Обобщается умение использовать настоящее простое время в пассивном залоге для описания ситуации.

Цель урока.

1) Совершенствование навыков чтения и аудирования.

2) Расширение лексического запаса по теме цикла.

3) Обобщение настоящего простого времени в пассивном залоге для описания ситуации.

4) Развитие критического мышления.

Учебно-наглядное оборудование: Мультимедийные презентации, компьютерная программа "English Discoveries”, "Pr. Higgins”, интерактивная доска, грамматическая таблица "Passive Voice”.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

Good morning students! I am glad to see you.

The topic of our lesson is – "A HIGH-TECH LIFE.WHAT ARE PROS AND CONS?”. We have been discussing the problem of using differente appliances in our everyday life for some lessons. Now, it is time to speak about your attitude to them if they are pieces of technology you can hardly live without. In the other words which of them are junk (really useless) and which are extremely useful.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

As you know science is important to most people living in the modern world for a number of reasons. On the one hand, scientists have helped to develop many of the modern tools of war. On the other hand, they have also helped to keep peace through research which has improved people’s life. What most important inventions of the 20th century can you name? Speak one by one.

(Учащиеся друг за другом называют слова по теме "Высокие технологии в повседневной жизни”. Каждое новое слово учащиеся повторяют хором.)

III. Речевая зарядка.

Do you have some of these pieces of gadgets or machines at home? What are they? Why do you like or dislike to use modern invention in everyday life? Give us some reasons.

Possible answer: (Возможный ответ)

- I think that a TV set is the most important thing in the house. Our family get together in front of it. We can relax and watch TV in the evening.

- Some of the inventions, for example a vacuum cleaner or a washing machine are less important. We do not often wash or clean the house, once or twice a week. And I’m sure we can do without a sewing machine. Nobody in our family can make clothes.

(Учащиеся высказывают собственное мнение по использованию тех или иных механизмов в повседневной жизни их семьи.)

IV. Аудирование.

The next point of our lesson is listening comprehension. Your task is – to listen to the dialogue between two persons Bob and Karin. (Intermediate 1 – Listening-Interview-Practice)

English Discoveries.

We shall do this work with the help of the computer. Are you ready to start?

So, eight of you will work with listening comprehension and others will do exercise with the help of Professor Higgins programme. Take your seat, students. Press the button and start working. Who is ready, rase your hands. Press your button to check and then to answer.

V. Физкультминутка.

It’s time to have a rest. Listen to the tape and relax. Do exercises with Nikita.

(Звучит ритмичная музыка. Диктор на английском языке просит учащихся выполнять простые движения для снятия усталости.)

VI. Проверка домашнего задания.

It’s time to check up your hometask and listen to the text of exercise 14 page 82.

Let’s read it and answer the question:

"What is the best title?”

(Учащиеся читают текст и отвечают на вопрос "Какие названия текста из трёх предложенных лучше?”

VII. Устная речь.

Now, look at the screen. We shall discuss pros and cons of using new technologies. Our students will tell us about this problem.

(Несколько ребят представляют свои презентации по теме урока)

VIII. Чтение.

Reading is the next point of our lesson. We shall work using computers. The task is – to use the words given below according to the situation. Take your seats two students near every computer and do this task together.

IX. Грамматика. Активизация грамматического материала по теме.

Now, we shall work with grammar rule. Present Simple Passive. Change the program Pr. Higgins, please. Find unit 41. First open theory then practice.

(Учащиеся меняют программу на компьютере. Открывают раздел 41 и сначала повторяют теорию "Образование и употребление Present Simple Passive”, затем выполняют практическую часть – несколько предложений по теме.)

X. Подведение итогов урока.

That’s all we have time for. Thank you everybody. Your marks for answers are…

(Выставление оценок за работу на уроке)

XI. Домашнее задание.

We have done much work and were successful. But everybody must work hard and home task is ex 17 page 83 in your student’s book and ex 4 page 39 in your activity book.

(Задание дано в учебнике и в рабочей тетради)
